The Bundeswehr has received the first new cable construction teams to independently network command posts:
Four equipment packages for these network service teams were recently delivered. A total of 43 equipment packages are planned to comprehensively equip the German Army and the cyber and information space.
The network service teams can quickly and efficiently network command posts and create their own access networks for up to two kilometers. For networking, Solifos’ unique metallic BRUmil fiber optic cables, adapter cables, and cable laying materials are used. The equipment is housed in containers with ISO fittings, making it easy to transport with vehicles and use on a mobile basis. The containers have fold-out side walls and shelves for the equipment.
The first four of 43 equipment packages will soon be delivered to the Army and initially used for the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF). Thanks to the collaboration with Solifos, Bundeswehr units can benefit from reliable and high-quality networking, which is crucial for the success of missions.
