Two-Part Feature in cpmFORUM: Solifos Technology in Focus as Part of the Bundeswehr’s NetzServiceTrupp
We are pleased to announce that a comprehensive two-part article on the Bundeswehr’s NetzServiceTrupp (NServTrp) has been published in issues 2 and 3 of the renowned specialist magazine cpmFORUM – The Magazine for Decision Makers. The article highlights the importance of wired command post communications in an increasingly dynamic security environment – and places our contribution to modern military communications infrastructure front and center.
Part 1: Communication as the Backbone of Operational Readiness (Issue 2 | 2025)
The first part of the article explores the crucial role the NetzServiceTrupp plays in ensuring the Bundeswehr’s operational readiness. It focuses on the need for rugged, weather-resistant fiber optic solutions that enable reliable and fast data transmission even under extreme conditions – such as cable deployment over rough terrain or during nighttime command post relocations. It emphasizes the performance and durability of the fiber optic cable systems co-developed and supplied by Solifos. High modularity and standardization are identified as key factors contributing to efficiency, logistical capability, and interoperability in multinational operational environments.

Part 2: Technological Depth and Flexible Deployability (Issue 3 | 2025)
The second part delves into the technical implementation and wide range of applications of the NServTrp. In addition to modular architecture, high bandwidth, and electromagnetic immunity of the fiber optics, the article also describes key components – including pre-assembled tactical fiber optic cables, splicing devices, and electro-optical converters. These enable rapid in-field repairs and the integration of conventional IT systems into mobile fiber optic infrastructure. Once again, the high quality standards that Solifos applies to the development and configuration of these systems are clearly reflected.
